The Silverback headquarters based in Stuttgart, Germany is the central hub for the designs, development and ownership of the brand. The centre contains a state-of-the-art cineplex, an Advanced Riding Dynamic Studio, an ultra modern factory that boast not only all of the Silverback models but also a photography studio, interactive media screens and a technologically advanced lab where the bikes are assembled and specifications are calculated to the scientific right fit for rider.

The Silverback Germany Assembly lab makes sure each bicycle, irrelevant of price, is assembled and checked by a single professional mechanic with the aim of delivering a holistic ‘masterpiece’ to the rider.

THE FOUNDER

Our story begins with Deon Retief, whose life is an unequaled example of an entrepreneur, visionary and leader in the cycling industry. He has been enveloped in the bicycle industry since the early 90's, working for well-known bicycle manufacturers and has conducted extensive brand studies worldwide.
Deon Retief who has visited over 500 independent bicycle dealers and sports retailers around the world, decided that he would start the Silverback brand. Despite all odds he would enter the German market in Stuttgart, a breeding ground for world renowned brands like Mercedes and Porsche. Entering the world's toughest market was part of his vision to ensure his brand would evolve into the world's most admired bike brand'.
